The lunch and dinner were of good quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be improved as Europeans are not use to curry first thing in the morning. There were other choices but they could be better

I arrived at the hotel being closed; no one informed me that I had to move to a different hotel beforehand. The breakfast was very poor and wifi reception is only possible standing at the front desk. Checking out was a disaster: after 6 attempts to pay with creditcard on 3 different machines I suggested to escort me to an ATM to pay in cash. Trying to leave the hotel to do so I get 3 security guards jumping on me and threatening to call the police as if I am a thief. Complaining about this afterwards with the reception manager and the general manager of Tisara Hotels doesn’t help: from both I get no response. Even complaining about the fact that 2 wrong transactions are reserved on my creditcard (I paid cash) results in no answer.
A beautiful, secluded hotel with huge room and a private pool looking over the tea plantation and jungle. This is a very tranquil location and you very much feel at one with nature and your surroundings. Monkeys jumping around in the trees, peacocks walking around and endless bird songs. We did not use the main pool as our private villa pool was huge and the views were just as great, the rooms are also extremely private. The restaurant food was very good too and again with amazing views. Staff were friendly and attentive.
The resort has a great location. Rooms are very clean and spacious. The breakfast is yummy. We were greeted by Sajeeth, the hotel manager; he was very supportive during our stay. The resort is by the lake and the beach is across the road- literally five mins. You can also see the fishermen on stilts on this beach. Ahangama is only three kms. You can explore this town as you enjoy your stay at this hotel. You can do a boat safari in the lake or swim in the beautiful pools. So many options.
Tri is immersed in nature, with all rooms etc built into the environment overlooking the beautiful Koggala lake and all built to a very high spec.
This makes the stay feel luxury, with peace, tranquility and opportunity to connect with the surroundings.
The staff were very friendly and caring throughout and helped to make our stay a good one.
There are plenty of activities that you can book and the staff will help you do so with ease.
Everything was amazing! This hotel is so beautiful with specious and beautifully designed rooms. Everyone is very nice and helpful and welcomes you with a big smile. The massage was great with a wide choice of treatments. The food and breakfast was delicious. I wish I had stayed there longer!
Villa Koggala is probably better suited to younger travellers on a budget. The bed was clean and comfortable, the air con was good and the staff were friendly and helpful, but the outside areas were a bit run down and not comfortable for sitting in. It was ok for the money paid
Beautiful hotel in an amazing location right on the lake. The scenery and rooms were unreal and we loved waking up to a view of the lake every morning. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Great wifi and beautiful pool area overlooking the lake. Good facilities.
Great location, Delicious food, and supportive staff. Special thanks to Mr Ajith and staff.
Great views including Koggala lake and beautiful pool area. Complimentary wine glasses were an extra touch and the candle light dinner was amazing.
There was a proper blanket to sleep under, which is a rate thing in SL. The wifi worked well and the room was very cozy. The hotel is located on the main road, which is super convenient and the breakfast was very good as well.
We had another fantastic stay at the Fortress. The Hotel location is perfect, and staff were tremendous, attentive and friendly. This is one of our favourite hotels on the south coast. we will be back for sure.
